In the recent times Amravati has developed as the industrial and trading center and famous for cloth & Readymade Market specifically Frock Manufacturing. For the Sindhi community Amravati is the city where Sai Pessuram Sahib, son of Amar Shahid Bhagat Kanwar Ram has shifted from the Sindh and where with investment of about Rs. 100 carores a huge monument [temple] of Sant Ji is likely to be constructed in near future.

Sindhi Population of Amravati is between 28,000 and 30,000 nearly 4000 sindhi families are living at Amravati. Rampuri camp is the oldest areas known for the residential area of Sindhi community in the city. Besides the Sant Kanwar ram Nagar and Krishna Nagar, Dastoor Nagar, Sindhu Nagar, Baba Hardasram Society, Anup Nagar etc are the areas of Amaravati were sindhi homes are found in abundance.

Sindhi Panchayats of Amravati have constructed many Dharamshalas in their working areas such as Jhulelal Sindhi Dharam Shala and Sindhi Dharam Shala etc but none of these have tourist facility.
