Bollywood was not the initial professional work land for the Nikhil as he was more interested with Science. This might be the influence of Maharshtrian Mother working in the advertising field or may be the family inheritance as Nikhil is grand nephew of well known bollywood film producer N. N. Sippy and second cousin of actor Tushhar Kapoor and producer Ekta Kapoor that all of sudden in 1996 he decided to work with Sudhir Mishra for film “Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin” as assistance director and co writer of screen play.
