Dr. Manoharlal Matlani is born in post-independence era on 20th May, 1959 and in business oriented Sindhi community considered as very highly educated person as from the Mumbai University he has passed B.Sc. [Microbiology] in 1983 – D.M.L.T. in 1984 -M.A. [Sindhi] in 1987 – M.Phil. [Sindhi] in 1990 & – Ph.D. [Sindhi] in 1998.
At first one surely gets confused about his inclusion to Sindhi literary world because from the degrees he has he appear to be an educationist & Administrator. This is the fact that Dr. Manoharlal research work on legendary Sindhi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is a guiding resource for the scholars. Similarly, he also worked about the work & personality of famous Sindhi poet, Singer, Composer Gobind Malhi who also produced Sindhi Film Sindhu-a-Je Kinare is not much useful for common Sindhi people.
Looking at the literary contribution of Dr. Manoharlal Matlani to Sindhi literature we can say that he is not a writer of mosses but a researcher for helping scholars. As the lecturer, Department of Sindhi of Mumbai University Dr Manoharlal Matlani helped many students to pass M.A., M. Phil and Ph.D. in Sindhi. He also worked as Head of Department of Sindhi, University of Mumbai from 7th July, 2001 to 12th June 2005.

In 2004 NCPSL has conferred a special Merit Award for this work published as book titled Gobind Malhi- Shakhs Ain Adeeb, besides this during 1998-1999 Mumbai University honored him with Certificate of Appreciation and a Silver Medal for Excellence in Academics.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
