Mehsana or Mahesana as few people pronounce is historic city having temples of Goddess Taruna and Chamunda. City is famous for “Rajmahal” a residential palace constructed by Sayaji Rao Gaikwad way back in Vikaram Savant 1956 . After the independence the building served as District court. More than 85% of citizens of Mehsana are Hindus and Navratri and Uttarayan are the two most celebrated festivals. There is Sindhi colony in Mehsana city.
