Mohan Himthani can be said the younger face of Sindhi literature as he is born and brought up in free India. How the younger Sindhi generations are looking at Sindhi literature that reflects from titles of two – Life Chocolate Kavita and Highway of five Sindhi poetry collections of Mohan Himthani. He is a multilingual lingual personality of Sindhi literature and have done translation of Sindhi books into Hindi and Hindi books into Sindhi language for the Sahitya Akademi.
Biography /About - Mohan Himthani
Mohan Himthani is born on 04 October 1965 at Ajmer, city from the Royal Rajasthan as the son of Sindhi teacher Late Gehimal Himthani, as father was a Sindhi teacher so atmosphere at home was nourishing the Sindhi language and disciplined life. This environment proved tempting for child Mohan to learn Sindhi, though he was living at city at which Hindi and Urdu languages can be said dominating languages of the city. Mohan also learned finishing the things within the time limit and importance of discipline and time management. These proved his valuable assets in his professional job.
As Mohan grow in years, he came in close contact of his uncle Late Shri Hari Himthani, a renowned personality of Sindhi literary world and Sahitya Akademi Awardee. Mohan was doing M.A. in Hindi and was in close contact of a literary personality this has prompted him to write poetry. Uncle Hari was also there to encourage Mohan and guide him. Mohan has done double M.A. (M.A. [Hindi] & M.A. [Sindhi]).
Mohan started life with government job of Interpreter at New Delhi and went on reach post of Undersecretary (Language) in Govt. of India. His first book titled Goongi Dharati Bodo Akas (Mute Earth- Deaf Sky) of Sindhi poetry was published in year 2000. While doing job he become associated with some of institutions associated with preservation and promotion of Sindhi language and Sindhi literature in India.
He has worked as Executive Member, Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli-Sahitya Sabha (2004 -2010), Member, Governing Council Sindhi Academy Govt of Delhi NCT and Member, Sindhi Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy (2008 -2013).

02. Member, Sindhi Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy (2018-2023 Two Terms).

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
