Sindhi Cricketer - Gurbani Rajneesh
The most recent illustration of this Sindhi attitude is Rajneesh Naresh Gurbani, 24 years young Sindhi born at Nagpur Maharashtra. He successfully expressed Sindhi desire of being on top when he took 12 wickets in 2017-2018 Ranji Trophy Semifinals against mighty Karnataka team to make his Vidarbha Team qualify for the ever first Final of tournament. In the finals at Indore Delhi after losing toss were sailing smoothly 271 for 6 at stumps on day one but this Sindhi boy produced a magical spell of swing bowling taking 6 for 59 with a Hat-trick and restricted Delhi to 295 only in the first session of second day. After taking a hat-trick talking with the press Rajneesh said that he is working hard to increase his pace and thanks to the cricket enthusiast of Indore for reminding about the hat-trick as he took first two wickets on the fifth and sixth ball of the previous over.
Born on 28 January 1993 at Nagpur Rajneesh Naresh Gurbani is qualified Civil Engineer. At first look he doesn’t look like to become sports person, especially a fast bowler with his moderately built body. When he thought of playing cricket, he was aware of the fact that his body is not build to sustain pressures of being speedster so he concentrated on swinging the ball on both sides of wicket and scarifying some of the pace, this is paying now.
This was the day of 27 October 2016 when this young Sindhi boy Rajneesh Gurbani was allowed to enter Cricket stadium at Wayanad as part of playing eleven of Vidarbha Cricket Association team. Since that time, he never looked back and played a lion-hearted role in the journey of Vidarbha’s ever first entrance of finals of the prestigious Ranji Trophy.
Right Arm medium fast swing bowler Rajneesh Gurbani is shaping as a budding all-rounder and after Narendra Hirwani appears with potential of playing a long inning on field and being part of Indian Cricket team. In views of many cricket experts and critics of the game Rajneesh is a great challenge for fast bowler Bhuvnesh Kumar, as for as place in Indian Cricket team is concerned. We at The Sindhu World wish him a long successful cricketing career.
