Ranh - Koohar

This is one of the simplest Sindhi recipes. Usually, Koohar or Ranh are cooked to distribute as the prasad along with either Tanhiree ” Jhulelal” or with Kanhan Prasad in the Guru Darbars. Some people also cook for mixing with other vegetables and making Parathas. Ranh Ja Paratha and Papad is used many times by Sindhi families as breakfast.

Ranh - Koohar Cooking Process

[1] Took good quality Kohar or Ranh.
[2] Clean & Soak them in water for about 2  Hours.
[3] Separate this water. Take fresh water in Pressure cooker [ Water Ranh Ratio is about 1.5 : 1] add Salt to taste.
[4] Cook for about 15-20 minutes.
