Romesh Wadhwani was born at Karachi, quite close to partition of the country (30 June 1947 -unconfirmed date) as he was still his mother Shanta’s lap when his father Tekchand with family was forced to shift India. In Bombay age of just 2 years, he got affected from Polio, which proved a real hard obstacle for his education. Crossing all the hurdles, period of suffering and pains Romesh got Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and later Master of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University. In August 2018 at Mumbai Indian Institute of Technology has showered honorary doctorate on him. Romesh Wadhwani lives in Palo Alto, California with wife Kathleen [Kathy] Wadhwani.
