In the olden days city was known as Saugad [fusion of two words Sau means Hundred and Gad means fort] with the time name has changed to Sagar [ some may spell “Saagar”]. Though city population is dominated by Sonis, Jains and Yadavs but still this is not a hard task to locate a Sindhi walking among them and hear a sentence in Sindhi language.
