Introductory
Sindhi literature sky is filled with many stars of unmatched light of own creations and translation of literature of other languages have made this sky a colourful and true treat for the viewers eyes. If we think of recent times one such shining star of sky of Sindhi literature is Dr. Suresh Bablani from Ajmer Rajasthan. Darling of Sindhi institutions & organisation Dr Suresh Bhagchand Bablani is born on 11 August 1962 at Ajmer, city where is spent his childhood and got education and still living there.
Biography /About - Dr Suresh Bablani
Suresh started working for PWD department of Rajasthan government soon after he completed his education. This was the time during which youth of Jaipur, Ajmer Rajasthan was looking eager to read writings of eminent Sindhi writers like Hari Himthani, Dr. Kamla Goklani, Jhamu Chhugani and others. Having interest in social work, Suresh found Hari Himathani’s writing regarding the partition of country heart touching and impressive. Translation of selective Sindhi literature, publishing Hindi magazine Sahitya Surbhi also increased his interest in Sindhi literature.
In the life of Dr Bablani year 1991 proved double header for happiness and stability in life, as he not only got married with Kanchan but become founder Mahasachiv of newly founded Sindhu Samiti Ajmer. This was the perfect start of family and social life in tandem. In 1995 he was appointed as convener of Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal. Suresh not only manage 100 educationists for suggesting changes in syllabus but also ably arranged the annual function. In the same year he is elected as President of Rajasthan Mantralayik Karmchari Parishad.
In 1997 he got opportunity to be part of Rajasthan Sindhi Academy [Member 1997-2000] where as Sindhi Sahitya and Cultural Society Ajmer started in the year 1999.Dr Bablani started his literary life with translation of Hari Himathani’s story Sindhu Zali Huyi only after his joining Sindhi Academy. In the year 2016-2017 MDS University gave him Doctorate on the thesis Hari Himthani – Shakhsu Ain Shkhsiyat. This is a clear indication for the influence of Hari Himthani on literary journey of Dr. Bablani.
During the literary journey started in 1998, Dr. Suresh has credit of in all 22 books till 2020 out of which 13 are translation or script change and 9 of owns writing. He also has keen interest in making other communities aware about Sindhi culture & Sindhi literature for this he has presented many papers on various platforms & occasions.
He has also written many historical articles and articles related with Sindhi folk art. Some of his articles are also included to Syllabus of Rajasthan school education. Dr Bablani is serving Sindhi literature by means of writing and presenting One Act Plays in Sindhi. During 2000-2013 when he was State secretary of Sanskar Bharti Chittor, he organised State level Natya Samaroh at Ajmer.

Dr Bablani has won five times Rajasthan Sindhi Academy’s award for writing One Act Play, annual competition being held on national level for year 1998 -99, 1999 -2000, 2001 -2002, 2005 -06 & 2011 -2012. U.P. Sindhi Akadami, Bharat Vikas Club, Sindhi Sewa Samiti and many others also have felicitated Dr Suresh Bablani for his contribution to Sindhi literature.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
