Sindhi Films: Top Ten Sindhi Films

Sindhi Films - Hit Sindhi Films – India

10 April 2017 Golden Jubilee Celebration of Sindhi Language Day [Sindhi Language was recognised by Indian Constitution eighth Schedule on 10 April 1967] is still recent history so I thought of writing about Sindhi Films – Sindhi Language Films with emphasis on Sindhi Films produced in India. Of course, India is considered as world leader as for as production of Films are concerned but unfortunately Sindhi Films didn’t have the same lion share in produced films as Sindhi people have in Bollywood, film production industry of India. Neither regular annual or else Sindhi Films is organized in India nor the Sindhi Films are considered as commercial block buster.
Do you think it an easy task to choose top ten Sindhi films, even though the list of Sindhi films produced in India is not much larger? Baring the number Sindhi films are very strong competition to world cinema this may the story, acting or the screen play or even the overall quality of film, Sindhi films are not legging behind to any other language films and even proves a health competition to main stream cinema of India.
This might be the decade back released Sindhi film Shall Dhiaur Na Jaman with central idea of saving girl child, a subject which is among the prime interest of our current Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi or the Halu Ta Bhaji Halun, a romantic comedy with social message.
Now I will turn to Sindhi in Indian film Industry- Bollywood. Ever first record-breaking block buster Bollywood movie Sholay is creation of Sindhi, G. P. Sippy but he never produces a Sindhi Film, same case is with yet another box office King Raju Hirani. Recent News maker Ranveer Singh is Sindhi, first fashion icon of Bollywood Sadhna was also Sindhi. Even the Tamannaah Bhatia, leading lady of South Indian films [Including recent box office hit Bahubali] is of Sindhi descent. The list of Sindhi in Bollywood is very vast as almost 50% of Bollywood film producers are Sindhi. A clear dominance of Sindhi people is visible as far as film and television industry of India in concerned.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
