Recipient of Sindhiyat and Sindhi Sapoot Award for spreading Sindhi Literary and cultural heritage Vasdev has also worked as editor of Suhini a Sindhi literary Magazine. He has very high authority in creating children literature in Sindhi language. In the 2014 Saahitya Akademi felicitate him with Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his unforgettable contribution in creation of Sindhi literature for children.
About Vasudev Sindhu Bharati
Born on 9 November 1938 Vasdev was able to get schooling only up to Higher Secondary but among the Jaipur trio of Sindhiyat Movement [other two are Sunder Agnani and Lachman Bhambhani] Vasdev is considered as Child face just of this trio, because he has credit of writing more than 200 Stories and articles for children. His both published books Ind Lath [1983] and Nayin Roshani [1989] are collection of Stories for Children.
Vasdev holds a good command on Hindi language also, his articles related with Sindhi Cultural heritage were published regularly in local magazine and newspapers. Vasudev has contributed to Sindhiyat in another way also as has written Sindhi Folk Stories and information about legendry and historical personalities like Raja Dahar Sen into Hindi language.
He expired on 31 October 2024 after suffering from age related diseases at his residence in Jaipur.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
