Famous Sindhi Poet - Academy Award - Sindhi Gazal
Arjan Jethanand Tanwani – a famous Sindhi poet of post independence era was born at Karachi. Though his academics are limited to Matric [Schooling only] but still in the field of Sindhi literature his pen name “Hasid” is well recognized and popular especially when we talk of Sindhi Gazals. He was employee of Post and Telegraph department and retired as the Post Master. Arjan Hasid has served as the member of Sindhi Advisory Board of Central Sahitya Akademi for more than a decade. He also worked as an artist at AIR.
