Balaghat is a small town located at the boundary of Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra. The nearest major city to Balaghat is the Gondia which is hardly 45 KM away. Being situated on the banks of river Van Ganga Mahashivratari is important social & religious celebration of the city. In the surrounding area Balaghat is also famous for Chaliho Celebration of Sindhi community. Like the other cities here are Sindhis in the minority but still it is active involvement of Sindhi Politician that once there were two Sindhi Parshad in Balaghat Nagar Palika and one Sindhi Shri Rameshlal Ranglani have honor of being Nagaradhyaksh.
