In the Sindhi literary world Arjan Hasid is known for making Sindhi Gazal popular among the common Sindhi peoples. Born on 07 Jan 1930, Arjan Jethanand Tanwani was a teen age boy so he remembered the pains of migrating and suffering faced by sindhi community for resettling in India. He worked with Indian postal department to exhibit his artistic talent was attached with AIR as artist. Just few days ahead of his 79th birthday Arjan Hasid left for heavenly abode on 26 Dec 2019. Famous Sindhi Poet – Academy Award – Sindhi Gazal – Sahitya Academi Award 1985
Arjan Jethanand Tanwani – a famous Sindhi poet of post-independence era was born at Karachi. Though his academics are limited to Matric [Schooling only] but still in the field of Sindhi literature his pen name “Hasid” is well recognized and popular especially when we talk of Sindhi Gazals. He was employee of Post and Telegraph department and retired as the Post Master. Arjan Hasid has served as the member of Sindhi Advisory Board of Central Sahitya Akademi for more than a decade. He also worked as an artist at AIR. It was day of 26th December 2019 when this very popular personality of Sindhi literature left the world for heavenly abode a few days prior to his 79th birthday.

During the more than four decade long literary life Arjan Hasid has been felicitated on several occasions and many awards are showered upon him. He is also receipient of Gaurav Puraskar givin in 1989 by Gujarat Sindhi Sahitya Akademi and Rachna Award from NCPSL in 2006.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
