About Sindhi Community of Chhindwara
The name derived from the Chhind [Date-Palm] trees which were found in abundance around the city hence the place get name Chhindwara. Historical roots of city dates back to 3rd century. Being home of famous political leader Kamalnath, politically Chhindwara is considered as area of dominance of Congress Party. On the tourism map Chhindwara is famous for Devgarh Fort, Patalkot, Shashti Mata Mandir,Triabl Museum and Waterfalls of Kukdi-Khapa.There is Hinglaj Mata Mandir also and recently some Sindhi people have started worshiping Goddess Hinglaj Mata as Kul Devi.
