2022 Sahitya Akademi Award winner Sindhi author Dr K P Lekhwani is more famous for his unmatched skill of organising educational and literary seminars and conference. He is also a renowned personality in the arena of training and designing instructional material.
Dr Kanhaiyalal Parumal Lekhwani
Dr Kanhaiyalal Parumal Lekhwani born on 01 April 1942 (Hyderabad Sindh) is only the Second Sindhi linguistic expert who has bagged the prestigious and highest literary award of country Sahitya Akademy Award for Sindhi language for the year 2022 for his research-based book Sindhi Sahit Jo Mukhtasar Itihas (A brief history of Sindhi). This is must to keep in mind that in past in the year 2004 yet another Sindhi linguistic has also honoured with same award for book titled Kavita Khan Kavita Tain which was Literary Criticism. Significant achievement of Dr. K P Lekhwani is his more number (more than 50) of research papers than number of his published (25) books. This is an indication of his deep interest in research and finding the factual reality before presenting or publishing his work in book format.

Besides research and teaching He is actively involved with Training, designing instructional material, organising academic seminars. Conferences , Language policy meetings and expert workshops. He also has credit for being nominated as Member of Sindhi Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and Advisory Panel for Sindhi, National Book Trust-India.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
