Gope Kamal, one of very strongest signature of Sindhi literature, specially for the poetic expression in the Sindhi language is one of the best illustration of Sindhi attitude of turning every adverse situation into an opportunity. He has developed reading habit when during school days he was neglected by classmates just because he was unable to contribute for purchasing playing material. Gope Kamal belongs to generation of Sindhi litterateurs who are born and brought up in India after the partition of the country. So, he is also ideal representative for the growth of Sindhi literature in India. Gope Daryani has started Sindhi writing during his school days though his first Poem was published in the 1964 in a Sindhi publication of Pune Maharashtra. Biography- Gope Daryani "Kamal"
Gope Asudomal Daryani, born on 09 November 1948 in Uttara Pradesh at Baraut, A small village near Meerath but his he had spent all of the years of his student’s life at Pune Maharashtra, so he belongs to Sindhi generation which is born and brought up in India. Gope was student of St. Mira School (Sindhi Medium) Poona where Shri Ram Sharma has encouraged for Sindhi language, how obedient and learner was he is indicated from the S.S.C. result, he stood first in Sindhi language in entire Maharashtra State. He went on to acquire degree in Civil Engineering with M.E.S and in the 1970 has got job with Air Force at Pune itself.
During the school days, once his classmates did not allow him to play just because he has not contributed towards the purchase of playing material. This has hurt very much and he stops going to playground and started spending that time in school library. Actually, this reading habit is the seed which when grown into tree made him a renowned personality of Sindhi literature.
Reading anything readable available in school library has created an interest for poetic expression. Gope started writing poems in Sindhi language though he was himself was not sure about being correct literary for his poem but as other classmates were paying attention to him for poem writing so he kept on writing. Read habits also encouraged to write him short stories. His first poem was published in 1964 in a sindhi publication of Pune. During that time, he got opportunity to meet with famous personality of Sindhi literature M Kamal (Moolchand Mangharam Bindrani) from whom he learned a lot about complex metric forms of Sindhi poetry and finer points of poetic expression. Probably this is influence of his mentor M Kamal that Gope Asudomal Daryani has adopted pen name Gope Kamal.
In the 1976 Gope Daryani got job of Civil Engineer in Dubai Municipality and he served Dubai Municipality till July 2017. This change of place proved to be starting point for his literary life as Sindhi poet though by this time in 1973 his first Sindhi Novel Zindagi Ain Char Dinhn (Life and Four Dys) was published which was reprinted in 1981 in Sindhi Pakistan. In those days Vasudev Mohi has initiated for monthly literary meeting in Dubai and many renowned personalities like Moti Prakash, Kala Prakash, Mohan Gehani and Goverdhan Sharma Ghayal were attending these meetings regularly. These meeting have encouraged Gope Kamal to be familiar with very fine and disciplined Genre of literature Gazal. Till that time, he was writing stories, satirical literary criticism and free verse in Sindhi language. His first Sindhi Poem collection Sarhadan Te Gul was published after a long time wait in 1988 Only where as his first Sindhi Gazal book Chhanv Vediyalu Zisamua was published in 2009.
If we look at the literary journey of Gope Kamal in Sindhi Literary world we find that he started as writer of Sindhi Story and Sindhi Novel, then as Sindhi poet of free verse in Sindhi language and finally as the one of best Sindhi Gazal writer. Sindhi Gazal writing calibre of Gope Kmal reflects from the fact that he has bagged Sahitya Akademi 2014 Award for Sindhi language for his Sindhi Gazal book Sijja Agyaan Buku.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
