Biography / About - Hiro Thakur
Hiro Thakur was born on 2 March 1943. After the partition his family preferred Ulhasnagar for the resettlement. He completed his schooling from S.E.S. School No.1 of Ulhasnagar and went on complete his graduation [B.A. (Honors)] from the Talreja college. He also went to become Rashtra bhasha Ratna.
Within the two years of being graduate, in 1967 he got appointment from All India Radio Delhi, News Service Division where he is in-charge, of Sindhi News Section.
He also started journalism as being Parliamentary Correspondent of Hindustan Sindhi Daily Newspaper. As this was not sufficient, he went on serve Sindhi Language and Literature with his Poetry, critical essays and research work. More than 200 sindhi poems of Hiro Thakur are published till date.
Literary Research Work of Hiro Thakur
Hiro Thakur can be known as the person of determination. He was well aware of the fact that when it comes to contribute outstandingly towards the literature it considered to be most difficult task, a path filled with pains and requiring a lot of patience to research on a legendary personality of literature whose contribution to literature considered as the mile stone and classic in literature. He was not worried of all this when he thought of and started research work on sixteenth century classical Sindhi poet, Qazi Qadan. This happens just because at tender age of just four years he saw and went through the painful feeling generated from the partition of country.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
