Anjana Sukhani

Anjana Sukhani is from the Sindhi youth born in India and bringing glory and success for community in the fields other than community’s traditional trade and commerce. This was her childhood time when she was offered commercial of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates with the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and this has been the motivational turning point for her career of acting and modelling. She kept on modelling for earning money for her higher studies though at sometimes her schooling gets suffered as she has credit of appearing in about 40 commercial advertisements for television.
Anjana Sukhani was born at Jaipur on 10 December 1978, as the daughter of Preeti and Om Sukhani. This was a normal Sindhi family with no film atmosphere in surroundings. Initially educated at Kamla High School, Khar, Mumbai, Anjana went on acquire Management Degree in International Business from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.
Being highly educated, with no filmy background and God father at Bollywood initially Anjana was not keen for a film career. In her own words – I never wanted to be an actor. I thought I’d do one film and then got trapped. Today besides the Bollywood films Anjana is involved with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi and even Marathi films. Her debut Telugu film was against Ravi Teja and in Marathi film she is appearing opposite Swapnil Joshi.
Anjana also appeared in music video with title Dulhaniya Mar Jayegi and has worked as fashion model also. She was also part of Television show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by film star Akshays Kumar and shooting of which was done in South Africa. In the competition she stood at fourth rank. Once Anjana was asked about her Management education and copping with Film industry, she replied smilingly – You have to act dumb sometimes. But seriously, things have changed with the new breed of people coming in. This is a great time to be part of cinema.
