Babita Shivdasani
Introductory
Presently Babita is often introduced as the mother of Kareena Kappor and Karisma Kappor most famous, successful and top heroin sisters of Indian Film industry but in fact Once Babita was famous as representative of Sindhi youth of post-independence era. Born in Sindhi family Shivdasani Babita appeared in 19films during her 8 years (1966-1974) film career.
Biography: Babita Shivdasani Kapoor
She was born on 20th April 1947 in the Mumbai [Bombay as was city called in those days] in a traditional Sindhi family and was named as Babita Shivdasani. She was niece of erstwhile actress and mystery girl of Indian silver screen Sadhana so even from early childhood hold a charming attraction for a career with film industry.
fortunately God has blessed her with a charming face and perfect physique so famous film producer G P Sippy signed her for film Dus lakh but credit of her first appearance on silver screen went to movie “Raj ” which was also debutant film of first super star of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna as Raj was released ahead of Dus Lakh.
During her days of films she become a fashion inspiration for millions of college girls. In the fashion world of India, she is treated as pioneer for introducing tight Churidar Kurtas, hoop ear-rings, and go-go eye-glasses as the latest fashion style of that era.
Baraita’s film career proved very short of just 8 years, from 1966 to 1974 and limited to 19 films as she married with her school love Randhir Kapoor, with whom she as acted in film Kal Aaj Aur Kal, and as per the family tradition quit from film Industry.
The couple was blessed with two daughters Karishma and Karina but due to difference of opinion couple fail to keep their married life in continuation and were forced to live separately. Karishma and Karina have broken the tradition of Kapoor family and made successful career in the film Industry.
Presently Babita is living with her younger daughter Karina in Andheri suburb of Mumbai. Though Babita was not good at dancing and even didn’t know swimming but still people are remembering her for many memorable roles she played in her movies.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
