Rajasthan – the desert land famous for the Rajputana Kingdoms and cultural heritage has started to show a different color and essence since the partition of country in 1947 with migration of Sindhi people from Sindh. Dr Lal Thadani is among the rare Sindhis who are known and darling of masses for their multi field activity. Dr Lal Thadani by profession is a Health worker, working as joint director Medical & Health Government of Rajasthan, Social worker & Politician by family tradition of Shri Bhimandas Manwani (first Sindhi MLA of Rajasthan), A poet by Heart, A Singer by passion and an orator by nature.
About - Dr Lal Thadani
Dr Lal Thadani is among the second generation of Indian Sindhi community forced to migrate India in 1947. Born on 17 July 1961 at Ajmer Lal Thadani is representative of Sindhi youth who are witness of struggle and resettlement process of Sindhi community though being born in India, this generation has not suffered the pains and agony of being detached from the social & cultural heritage and start life again with almost bare handed.
After completing schooling at Ajmer, he preferred to go for the higher education in Medical field, just because his vision is that this field is richer than any other for serving the humanity and mankind. He was scholar at studies so got a good support from family and parents. In 1987 he completed his M.B.B.S. from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Ajmer and passed M.D. in 1991 as student of same institution.
Being born in the family of Bhimandas Manwani, Lal from early childhood learned the lessons of politics and has developed an attitude and attraction for social works. Though he is student of Science but his poetic heart often forces him for writing on social issues and he has credit of few published books like – Kash Main Kuchh Kar Pata [Hindi] -Gandhidham Mein Sindhyat & Alphaz-Dil-se [Gazal collection] not only this but he has also edited some sindhi literary work of other Sindhi writer including a book on life of Lord Jhulelal deity of Sindhi community.
Dr Lal’s participation in social work, interest in literature has brought glory for him as during the Congress party government, led by Ashok Gehlot, during 2000-2003 he got opportunity to serve his own Sindhi community in capacity of Chairman Rajasthan Sindhi Academy.
On the social front beside being involved with various social organisations at present (2020) he is Rashtriya Mahasachiv of Rashtriya Sindhi Samaj. Before the Corona many people were not aware of his singing talent as during this period Corona song of Dr Lal has started gaining popularity on you tube. Dr Lal Thadani is married with Dr Deppa Thadani & couple have two children one son & one daughter.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
