Govind is fortunate to have socially aware and active late Shri Bholaram Ji Narsinghani as his uncle. Bholaram ji take good affectionate care of his childhood and sown the seeds of being aware of social problems and dedicating self for community service. Uncle Bholaram has nourished his young age with polite and soft speaking and humble behaviour. Dr Nrsinghani : As Educationist
Dr. Narsinghani is well aware of importance of availability of good quality education. When in 1974 late Shri Bholaram Narsinghani initiated start of Sindhu Education Society and Hemu Kalani Primary School (English Medium) Shri B G Ahuja, Shri G C Chandwani, Dr Narsinghani along with few other Sindhis of Kolhapur region were the front runners among those involved with. Since 1990 he is working as Chairmen of this first ever educational society established at Gandhinagar Kolhapur. In the year 1978 Sadhu Vaswani High School (Sindhi Medium) was started and in due course of time Sadhu Vaswani Jr. College and as natural growth of Hemu Kalani Primary School, Gandhinagar High School came in existence. Presently all the schools of SES are equipped with facility of computer education, computerised classrooms and other modern educational facilities.
In the role of educationist, he had not only taken efforts, devoted time for development and computerising schools but also done needful for day-to-day work at schools of Sindhu Education society. Moving with demands of time he started paying attention for availability of higher education. Dr Govind Holaram Narsinghani : Other Social Works
Start of Sindhu Nagari Pat Sanstha Mayardit with friends like late G C Chandwani, Ramesh Lalwani, Narumal Narsinghani, Dayaldas Chandwani, Shyamlal Kalani and others in the year 1989 is yet another indication of his attitude of being aware of community problems of Sindhis. Most of Sindhi at Gandhinagar Kolhapur are doing business and small businessmen were feeling lack of financial institution for short term and small loans.
Dr Narsinghani and Chandwani were also organisers of first ever Ballet Dance Show of Anila Sunder in south Maharashtra. The duo has also arranged shows of the Sindhi plays like Chhora Agiya Podiha Putjiyan and Yaad Kanda, presented by Sindhi Drama King and First Director of Sindhi Marathi Stage Late Shri S.P. Menghani. Dr Narsinghani is believer of that good health is not just proper food and medicinal care but it also involves physical wellbeing. The key of success of Dr Govind Narsinghani lies with making the things, tasks simple. I am fortunate to have many opportunities of working with him. I still remember in 1991, I was much worried at the time of starting of Rotary Club of Gandhinagar. Dr Narsinghani said don’t think that you are going to be associated with an international organisation hence you need lot of commitments and fulfil many obligations. Just keep it simple to “We are going to involve with yet another social work activity”.
His 75 Birthday in the year 2019 was celebrated in very grand style and cheerful environment as a public function by the people of Gandhinagar Kolhapur and staff of various institutions, organisation he is associated.
