Born on 10 Feb 1906 Jethi Sipahmalani has worked as Deputy Chairman of Sindh Legislative assembly and Bombay Legislative council. She dedicated her entire life for settling life of migrant Sindhi in Bombay, she established Navjeevan Co-op housing Society to provide affordable house to migrated Sindhi families. This is unfortunate that her work remained un noticed so neither state nor central government has given any award or recognition. Jethi died on 21 May 1978.

Kumari Jethi Tulsidas Sipahimalani born on 10 February 1906 at Hyderabad is a real illustration of courage of Sindhi Woman, her dedication towards the social cause and desire to work restlessly for bringing a smile on the suffering faces.
After having education from Kundanmal Girls High School Hyderabad and Indian Girls School Karachi, she got job as the Principal of Daya Ashram. For a normal woman it was natural routine of bringing stability into life, but as Jethi has a very keen desire for doing something notable for the Sindhi community so even at this position she was feeling a kind of restlessness.
In the year 1930 she opted to be free from the job, leave the easy-going characteristic life of the higher-class Sindhi families. She decided to join the Freedom Movement; this might be the result of influence of Acharya Assudomal Gidwani , Acharya J B Kriplani and Jairamdas Daultram on her as she was in touch of these great personalities since her student life.
Years from 1932 to 1942 proved testing time for as she has to face and adjust with the hard life of Jail. During this decade she was sent prison many times but this is also fact that during this time she become integral and essential part of Sindhi politics. She was elected twice as the member of Sindh Legislative Assembly and went on to fetch rare honor of a Sindhi woman holding the post of Deputy Speaker of Sindh Legislative Assembly.
Help to migrant Sindhi in Mumbai
After the partition she settled at Bombay [Mumbai] and was Member [1952 to 1962] and Deputy Chairman [1954 to 1962] of Bombay Legislative Council. Since the 1947 she was working round the clock to help migrated Sindhis to get settled in the region [Bombay Presidency]. Looking at hard life which Sindhi people has to face just because most of them were getting accommodation at military barracks.
She went on to establish Navjeevan Co-op Housing Society at Mahim, Chembur, Matunga and Lamington Road. She also extended her helping hands to many educational and institutions working in the field of health care.
It was the 21 May 1978 when Kumari Jethi Tulsidas Sipahimalani left the physical world. There is news that at Gandhi Dham [Kutch] Adarsh Kanya Maha Vidyalaya is named after her as the mark of respect to a great freedom fighter, true nationalist and keeping her memories alive in the younger Sindhi generations.
Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
