This was the shooting of film “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” and Lucknow born famous Sindhi Character actor Mac Mohan, who acted in more than 200 Bollywood Hindi films was part of it. This might be the destiny asking the question to him “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” because according to us, Hindus, we all are guest here.
This is often said in Hindi “Zindagi to sirf char dinoon ka mela hai” (life is fare of just four days.) and if we look at that the life of famous sindhi actor Mac Mohan (Mohan Makhijani) certain we can say that his four words solitary dialogue in film Sholay “Sarkar Pure Pachas Hazar” appears to overshadow his entire silver screen life extended to 46 years and about 200 Hindi films in which he acted and which was started as an Assistant Director with Chetan Anand.
Biography: Mac Mohan
Born on 24 April 1938 at Lucknow, capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Mohan Makhijaney was classmate of famous hero Sunil Datta, during their schooling at Lucknow.
It was some time around 1960, that Mohan decided to move to Mumbai, for making career as a cricketer but as said destinies are written in advance so instead of practicing cricket Mohan join theater and went on to become one of most versatile character actor and popular villain of Hindi films of 1970’s and 1980’s like Don, Karz, Satte Pe Satta, Zanjeer, Rafoo Chakkar, Shaan and Khoon Pasina.
Beside the theater Mohan also learned acting from Filmalaya School of Acting in Mumbai. He also joined FTII, Pune for making his acting skills sharper. Vinod Mehra, who went on to become famous as romantic hero was also in the same batch at FTII. Mohan Makhijani was among the toppers of Batch.
Mohan started his silver screen career as an assistant with director Chetan Anand, who introduced him in his film Haqeeqat (1964) with name Mac Mohan.
This was in November 2009 that while shooting for his last film “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge”, he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, where is respired for last on 10 May 2010, and was diagnosis as the patient suffering from lung cancer (tumor in right lung).
During the long Hindi Film career of 46 years Mac Mohan has acted in about 200 Hindi films. He also acted in many films in Punjabi, Haryanvi, Sindhi, Gujarati and Marathi language. Very few people knows that Mac Mohan also acted in few English, Russian and Spanish films.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
