Being famous as scholar in Hindi, English, Sindhi languages Nandlal Jotwani have credit of being editor of IAF Journal and Swadeshi Patrika, his first story Qaidi was published in 1961. He has also translated few renowned literatures [Aakheraa Aakaas Mein written by Dr. Ram Buxani] in Sindhi Devanagiri and has been invited at various literary programs such as National Poetic Symposia, SAARC Writers Conference etc. for reciting his poems.
Retired decorated Indian Air Force Officer Nandlal Jotwani is founder President of Global Harmony, Non-Profit NGO besides that he is associated with various government institutions and social organizations. A few such are, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India – Indian Institute for Defence Studios & Analyses – Hindi Advisory Committee, Government of India – Vishwa Sindhi Seva Sangam – Sindhu Ekta Manch – Akhil Bharatiya Sindhi Mahasabha – Rashtriya Sindhi Manch – Sindhi Social & Cultural Society – Sindhi Academy – Linguistic Society of India – National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language and many more.
Serving the country as Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities, Government of India can be considered as most significant achievement of retired Wing Commander Nandlal Jotwani.
Awards & Recognition
He is proud recipient of awards like Sangram and Paschim Star for Indo-Pak War of 1971. He is Honoured with the highest institutional awards of Vishwa Hindi Bhasha Samman, Sindhu Ratna, Rajbhasha Vibhushan, Rajbhasha Shiromani, Sindhi Ratna, Samaaj Gaurav, Sindhi Sahitya Ratna by the Civil Society. Katha International has also Honoured him with the National Award in Translation for his outstanding contribution in the field of translation of the Sindhi classics into English and Hindi languages. Stanford University, U.S.A. also honoured him with status of Visiting Fellow.

Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
