Especially when we think of Sindhi community this appears almost next to impossible but retired Wing Commander Nandlal Jotwani has proved all this wrong. In the 2020 he is one of most renowned Sindhi social worker, Linguistic, researcher and even environmentalist.

Served the nation in the Constitutional Post of the Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities, Government of India, in terms of Article 350B of the Constitution of India. – Served the nation in the Permanent Commission awarded by the President of India and the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces and rose to the rank of Wing Commander in Indian Air Force. – Invited by the Secretary General, United Nations Organization, to attend the General Assembly and the High-Power Meeting held in NY, USA, in 2006 & 2008. – Served the nation as the Member of the Steering Committee for Empowerment of Minorities, Planning Commission, and Government of India. – Nominated as the “Special Invitee” to the National Integration Council, headed by Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs, Government of India. – Nominated as the Sindhi Language Expert by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India. – Elected as the Member of the Executive Committee, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. – Nominated as the Member of Official Language Advisory Committee, Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. – Nominated as Special Invitee to the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. – Nominated as Special Invitee to the Sindhi Academy, Government of NCT, Delhi. – Worked on the University Grants Commission, Government of India, lexicographic project on “Sindhi-English Dictionary With –Phonetic Transcriptions” at Deccan College, PG & Research Institute, Pune. — Delivered several lectures and keynote addresses and invited to make presentations in several national and international conferences. – His project on “Future of Our Children” was invited for presentation in the International Conference held at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. — His project on “Environmental Education for Building Culture of Peace” was invited for ‘Education for Peace’ Global Conference held in São Paulo, Brazil.

Famous and popular Sindhi folk singer Bhagwanti Navani is eventually immortal as she even after losing the physical existence still alive at hearts of thousands and thousands of Sindhi music lovers. Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
