Prof. Hardwani certainly a distinguished and well-known name from the Sindhi literature when it comes to serving the Sindhi language and literature in Devanagiri script. Having credit of close to 100 published books in Hindi, Marathi, English, Devanagiri Sindhi including 10 Dictionaries. Lachhman Parasram Hardwani is hard core supporter of Devanagiri Script for Sindhi language and has presented many articles to support his view that in ancient times Sindhi language was written in Devanagiri Script, this was only during the British rule in India that Arabic Script was adopted as the script for Sindhi language.
Born on 3 May 1942 at Sevan Sindh, he witnessed pains of migration at tender age of five years. Hardwani family along with other Sindhis was forced to migrate and first tried to get settled at Pune and then shifted to Ahmednagar. Lachhman was admitted to school providing education in Marathi medium probably this is the reason that even today his sindhi writings shows shades of Marathi vocabulary. He went on complete M.A. in Hindi and Marathi and started working in the same college as Professor of Hindi in which he was student a few years back. After working for long 35 years, he retired in 2002 and presently living at Viman Nagar in Pune.
Along with literature Stage is also his field of interest during the college life Lachhman has Directed as many as 14 Marathi plays and even acted in few. He also translated four Marathi stage Drama in Sindhi and successfully presented for Sindhi Drama lovers.
His most significant contribution to Sindhi language is various Dictionaries in Devanagiri Script such as Spiritual, Definitions, Bhakti Sahitya Shabdkosh and Sindhi Bhasha Vigyan Kosh etc.
Literary Contribution
Prof. Hardwani has major literary work is translation from Marathi and Hindi literature into Sindhi and vice versa. Though he also translated a few Sindhi books from Arabic script into Devanagiri Script.

Often called as Sindhi Koyel Bhagwanti was born on 01 Feb 1940 at Nasarpur. Undisputed queen of Singing Sindhi Lada (marriage ritual songs) Bhagwanti will always be remembered for singing Sukhamani Sahib (Guru Bani) in Sindhi. She also acted in Sindhi film Sindhua Je Kinare. On 22 Oct 1986 she left for heavenly abode.
