Sindhi Folk Stories
When I look back to early days of my life, I distinctly see a ten-year-old boy asking father about the story narrated by Master Chander, how a small girl, alone at him has awaken the sleeping servant and saved her home from the thieves. I am sure you will be also with the memories of any such stories. When we look at literature no such stories are found but every one of us has grown up listening these stories which are called folklore or folk tales.
Actually, this is also literature off course not in the usual format but in a different style. Since the very beginning human has tendency of passing the knowledge to coming generation and this has resulted in creation of literature. In the ancient times if the Ved – books of true knowledge were created Puranas were also written. Puranas are nothing but the folk literature, heard by younger generations from the older generations, Stories of Panch Tantra are the classic illustration.
